Storey’s Gate Cafe

Colicci opened Storey’s Gate Cafe in 2019, however the history of this period building dates back hundreds of years. At the corner of Birdcage Walk, the site was constructed around 1840 by the Office of Works as Storey’s Gate Lodge for the park manager - almost certainly at the location of a much earlier building used by the Keeper of the Aviaries in the time of Charles II.

When developing the cafe space we worked with art curator @projectsonwalls to source avian inspired artworks to compliment the interiors scheme and tell the story of this unique and historical building at the corner of St James Park.

Today Storey’s Gate Cafe proudly serves sustainably sourced single origin coffee, alongside a health focused menu with plenty of plant-based options to choose from.
